Pearl Mackie

Pearl Mackie is a British actress best known for portraying Bill Potts, companion to Peter Capaldi’s Twelfth Doctor in the long-running BBC science-fiction series *Doctor Who*. Joining the programme in 2017, she quickly became a fan favourite for her warmth, humour and refreshingly grounded performance. Bill Potts was notable as the Doctor’s first openly gay full-time television companion, and Mackie brought energy, curiosity and emotional depth to the role.
