Saraya, best known to wrestling fans by her WWE ring name Paige, is an English professional wrestler, actress and author whose groundbreaking career helped redefine women’s wrestling. Born into a wrestling family in Norwich, she began competing at a young age before gaining international recognition in WWE. Paige made history as the inaugural NXT Women’s Champion and became the youngest Divas Champion in WWE history when she won the title on her main-roster debut in 2014. Her distinctive look, rebellious personality and hard-hitting in-ring style quickly made her one of the most popular stars of her generation. After winning the Divas Championship twice, Paige later became a prominent on-screen personality and authority figure. A serious neck injury forced her to retire from in-ring competition in 2018, but she made a remarkable return to wrestling several years later under her real name, Saraya. She went on to capture the AEW Women’s World Championship at Wembley Stadium in London. Her life and rise through the wrestling industry inspired the 2019 biographical comedy-drama *Fighting with My Family*, written and directed by Stephen Merchant and starring Florence Pugh as Saraya. With her historic achievements, resilience and unmistakable personality, Paige remains one of Britain’s most influential and recognisable professional wrestlers.
