Matt Ryan
Matt Ryan is a Welsh actor best known for his acclaimed portrayal of the supernatural detective and occult expert John Constantine. He first took on the role in NBC’s *Constantine* before bringing the character into the wider Arrowverse through appearances in *Arrow* and a long-running role in *DC’s Legends of Tomorrow*. His charismatic performance, distinctive voice and faithful interpretation of the comic-book character quickly made him a favourite among DC fans. Ryan has also voiced Constantine in several animated DC productions, including *Justice League Dark*, *Constantine: City of Demons*, *Justice League Dark: Apokolips War* and *Constantine: The House of Mystery*, making him one of the actors most closely associated with the character. Beyond the DC universe, Matt Ryan has appeared in television series such as *Criminal Minds*, *The Tudors* and *Wild Decembers*. Gamers may also recognise his voice as Edward Kenway, the charismatic pirate protagonist of the hugely popular video game *Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag*. With a career spanning television, film, theatre, animation and video games, Matt Ryan has built a dedicated international following and remains particularly celebrated for his darkly humorous and effortlessly compelling portrayal of John Constantine.
